Acaecea (Blood of Amber)

Acaecea was a short-lived character in that I started playing on a then-new MUSH, Blood of Amber, and then found myself overextended and had to pull back on the number of active characters. In the few months that I played her, the RP was rewarding. Alas, she fell victim to the axeman due to the aforementioned overextension and the lack of seniority among my other characters.

I had let her lapse into inactivity and was effectively not playing her, though her object was still live and ICly she was still in Castle Amber. At the request of Florimel's player, I opened the character up for another player to assume the role, but to my knowledge no one ever did.

Description

Though the roundness of youth remains in her features, there is a nearly intangible hardness that belies a woman more inclined to physical activity than the typical lady in waiting. Clear, Caribbean blue eyes survey the world with languid ease, lending complement to the slight curl in her lips. Champagne twines with saffron in an elaborate weave that binds her hair up, leaving her neck delightfully bare.

Her silk gown is a stunning work of art in motion. White floral lace hugs every curve from the waist up, with ivy embroidered around the breasts, framing the high neckline, and down the sheer sleeves. Hanging softly off her hips, hem almost touching the ground, the skirt is a shimmering silk, as pure and white as freshly fallen snow. A green silk shawl with white-embroidered trim at the ends, slips from her shoulders from time to time, causing her tug at it periodically. The clicking of heels is unmistakable when she walks.

Background

Acaecea is the daughter of Florimel. She was raised in shadow and gravitated toward the more athletic and active pursuits. Her Amber heritage lent her great success in these endeavours.

When she was brought to Amber, her parentage was hidden. Instead, she was disguised as a bodyguard and lady in waiting to Florimel.

In her time in play, she managed to befriend Deirdre and Dara (a friendly face in Amber in this setting), and plotted to create a secret hideout for women in the castle where they can kick off their shoes and relax and do all the things they would never dare to let the men see them do. Cigars and poker anyone?
