Caerynne (Winter's Edge)

Caerynne was started during the exploratory phase for other D20 fantasy games when Treyvan MUX began to lose its lustre, but I never really finished this character off. I discovered Tenebrae MUSH and moved over there before I finished the background on this one.

Description

The points of the Half-Elf's ears do not clear five feet, making her shorter than most of her brethren. Her size, however, does little to impede the imposing figure that she carves. There is a rough edge to her, owing to a harsh mountain lifestyle. She is she is sleek and muscular, sturdy enough to sustain the cold, and tanned from many days exposed to the sun in the peaks. Frigid blonde hair falls in waves and complements blue-grey eyes that lend some steel to her visage.

Her athletic physique would have done the mountain cats proud. Brown-spotted grey hides hang in strips and swaths from her arms and shoulders, held fast by leather thongs. Over the natural pelts, hammered metal plate forms a hard carapace over her chest and midriff, extended to her right arm with a scarred epaul, brace, and spiked gauntlet set. Thigh high boots and and greaves of hardened leather cover her legs, split by loincloths front and back held up by braided cord. Almost as an afterthought, a leather mask is drawn across her upper face to partly obscure her identity.

Not surprisingly, she is loaded with a lot of additional metal. A large steel shield is worn on her back or on her arm and a pair of short swords hang off her right hip. The focal point of her armament, though, is a menacingly vicious bastard sword, worn on the left for easy cross-body draws.
