Catriona (Scott Whitney's "The New Courts")

Catriona was created as a character for an ongoing campaign at Ambercon US in 1998. That year, I only played two characters at the convention -- Macallan and Catriona -- as it was my first and I still hadn't gotten my legs under me yet.

Since then, the game has progressed slowly. It's an apocalyptic game and we've only just begun exploring what mayhem the GM has unleashed upon us, but with luck, we may yet make progress against the plot. I hope we do anyway. Catriona has aspirations for the throne.

Description

She stands in profile at the edge of a cliff, overlooking a harbour. The day is splendid, with clear blue skies and bright sunshine, the latter glowing on her lightly tanned skin. A slight breeze touches the stray wisps of raven black hair that curl around her face, revealing a youthful expression in her forest green eyes. The rest of her hair is plaited neatly down her back and crowned with a jeweled circlet complete with a silky train that drapes gently over her neck, also touched by the wind. A flowing silk dress caresses her body, sheathing it in a dazzling crimson from the high collar to multi-layered skirts, divided down the front. With her arms crossed under her bosom, the detail of the silver embroidery could be seen clearly as it twined up her sleeves and bodice like ivy, culminating in an elaborate kirin over her left breast.
